Do you feel like a chain store?
Practically floored
One of many zeros
Kicked around bored
Your ears are full but your empty
Holding out your heart
To people who never really
Care how you are

So give me Coffee and TV
History
I've seen so much
I'm going blind
And I'm braindead virtually
Sociability
It's hard enough for me
Take me away form this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start all over again

Do you go to the country
It isn't very far
There's people there who will hurt you
Cos of who you are
Your ears are full of the language
There's wisdom there you're sure
'Til the words start slurring
And you can't find the door

So give me Coffee and TV
History
I've seen so much
I'm going blind
And I'm braindead virtually
Sociability
It's hard enough for me
Take me away form this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start all over again

So give me Coffee and TV
History
I've seen so much
I'm going blind
And I'm braindead virtually
Sociability
It's hard enough for me
Take me away form this big bad world
And agree to marry me
So we can start all over again

Oh...we could start over again
Oh...we could start over again
Oh...we could start over again
Oh...we could start over again

WHAT THE FUCK IS THE STREETCAR QUESTION ASKING OF ME?

Is is the male/female roles as in social one or work?
Or something else?

I'm so screwed....

Carolyn *very worried*

Both, i think. basically, i just said that stanly represented the social role of males as being violent, chauvanistic, and having power over thier wives. Stella does the female social role, ie: tough, but ultimatly submissive towards thier husbands. Blanche represents the female role of an "old american" society, ie: she is very vain, belives that men shouldn't see women in unflattering ways, and expects men to be overly polite, such as stand up when a woman enters the room, even though this tradition had pretty much stopped in most social classes by the the time the play was set, the 1950's. Hope that helps!
