Mar. 31st, 2006 02:36 pmSo the bbc have stopped thier blue peter badge scheme...

Is it just me, or is this whole fuss over these badges just a bit over the top?
I mean, it's not as though there are going to be any more badges circulating than there would be anyway, is it?
And with the papers full of shock-horror headline about how kids today are too fat/lazy/stupid/uncultured, surely anything thats gets them to visit more museums/zoos/etc,etc can only be a good thing?
And while on the subject of blue peter, has anyone else seen the new (and Blue peter themed) Will Young video? (more information can be found here: http://popjustice.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=309&Itemid=1). Obviously it's a work of complete genious, but am i the only person who finds it all nostalgic and "awwww"-inducing, rather than hilairiously funny?
