This computer has swallowed my floppy disk.

How inconvienient.

Anyone got any tips on how to coax floppy disks from very old grumpy computers?

Umm, well...what I usually do is if you press the button and it comes out a little bit, pull it. I'm guessing it's caught with the metal bit. Pull it out gently and the metal wil come with it. Most likely the metal will come off (through my experience 4 out of 5 metal covers came off). Then make sure that you save everything from that floppy disk onto another one or the computer itself because without the cover, it doesn't last long and files may get damaged.

it wont even come out a little bit! I thik something to do with the mechanism of the drive is fucked.

yeah i got a floppy stuck in my computer...been there for over a year...half in half out..
