so, earlier today I went to the medical centre, saw a nurse, then a doctor, and after 45 minutes of umming and ahhing and weighing and filling in forms, here is what the three of us concluded:

*I am NOT anorexic (ha! told you so :P )

*I am, however, very, very underweight, down to 7st 4lbs

*this gives me a BMI of 15. The healthy optimum is 20.

*University has left me clinically depressed.

*As a result, they want to put me on prozac.

This was all a bit scary and overwhelming, particularly the last point. It also raises two potentially equally scary questions:

*If I decide to go on prozac/take some time off uni, should I/how do i tell my housemates?

*Same again, but with my parents?

Ohhh. I think I need a nice cup of tea and a sit down
(except I don't like tea, so hot chocolate will have to do).

If you don't want to tell people you're taking prozac, i wouldn't. It causes too much bother unless you're friends, but at the same time, persons are surprisingly understanding as a whole. It's just people who don't get it. Do what you feel. If your parents are going to give you a hard time, they'll give you a hard time whatever you do. I know this doesn't help, but one thing with a girl I knew was just to do it and not give her parents the option to bitch about it.

Oh kitten...honestly have no idea what to do and just want to give your hugs and cake. (plus the doctor are lying bout the weight thing - yoi're perfectly healthy at 18.5 - if you're not built to be a 20.0 er, then thats fine.though this is coming from someone waaaaaay over that!)
